Additional Information

1 Essilor reserve the right to refuse to process any order with a tint combined with an MAR coating.
2 Due to the nature of dyes available, it is not possible to guarantee an exact match for any tints other than those from the Essilor Tints ranges. Orders for single tinted lenses will not be accepted.
3 For rimless eyewear, we recommend use of Airwear 1.59, Ormix 1.6 or Stylis 1.67 lenses. With low power lenses it may not be possible to use stock lenses. Minimum drill hole and edge thickness will be specified in order to ensure the aesthetic appeal and integrity of the rimless spectacles.
4 Essilor will not undertake the removal of vacuum coating or a hardcoat.
5 PRECAL will be charged provided at least one of the lenses of a pair show a reduction in centre thickness.
6 UVX will normally only be applied to pairs of lenses. Single lens orders for UVX are tinted at the customer's own risk.
7 Guarantees of Origin are available for all Varilux products. Essilor honour the Guarantee of Origin of their lenses only to direct customers. Essilor will not forward guarantees to retailers who have not received them from their suppliers.
8 European Community Directive 93/42/CEE for medical devices, which defines the minimum impact resistance of lenses, was implemented on 15 June 1998. All optical lenses supplied by Essilor comply with this standard and our lens packaging carries the CE marking. The CE regulations prohibit Essilor from glazing any new frames which are not marked with the CE mark, or are not accompanied by a tag or literature which has the CE mark. This does not refer to secondhand frames (so-called re-glazing) where normal quality verification activity will be conducted.
9 Orders combining lenses of different indices will not be accepted.
10 Alterations and cancellations to prescription orders cannot be accepted once orders have commenced processing. In the case of cancellation after the production of the order has commenced, we reserve the right to charge and ship as normal. If the order is shipped, Essilor will not accept any return or request for credit.
11 Standards, specifications and definitions are subject to ongoing review through developments in technology and manufacturing improvements.
12 These terms and conditions apply to all distributors of Essilor products and shall be incorporated into the Terms and Conditions of Sale issued by Essilor from time to time.
13 Essilor Ltd reserves the right to withhold supplies to any distributor who fails to honour these Terms and Conditions and to claim compensation in any courts having jurisdiction.
14 Delivery times quoted in the catalogue are indicative and are therefore not contractual. These times do not include Sundays or UK public holidays and may be subject to variance due to operational conditions. Essilor cannot be held accountable for transport delays. Actual delivery times are provided at the point of order placement and Essilor endeavour to ensure a high level of reliability of the quoted delivery duration.

Essilor trade marks symbolise the technical excellence of Essilor products, and provide distributors of Essilor products with an assurance of quality and professionalism at the
leading edge of eye care. 
Essilor trade marks add to the reputation and image of the optical profession as a whole. We must therefore protect them from improper use.

1.1 These terms and conditions apply to all Essilor trade marks - that is, all trade marks, logos and trade names of which Essilor Ltd or one of its associated companies is the
proprietor. The visuals available on-line at the Varilux Specialist Opticians section of Essilor's website www.essilor.co.uk are for the use of Varilux Specialist Opticians only.
1.2 A list of Essilor trade marks is available on request.
1.3 Essilor trade marks may not be used without the prior written consent of Essilor Ltd.
1.4 Nothing in these Terms and Conditions shall grant or be deemed to grant the distributor of Essilor products any right or interest in any Essilor trade marks.
1.5 Any documents or other media making use of an Essilor trade mark should be submitted to Essilor Ltd in draft form for approval prior to use. Essilor Ltd shall be entitled at its entire discretion to specify the correct method of using the trade marks (notably media, graphics, colours etc) and to require alteration to material submitted for approval.
1.6 Essilor Ltd shall be entitled at its sole discretion to refuse its consent to the use of any Essilor trade mark, for example where such use is incompatible with the image of such trade mark.
1.7 Essilor Ltd reserve the right to withhold its consent to the use of any Essilor trade marks for any reason whatsoever.
1.8 Any consent given by Essilor Ltd to the proposed use of an Essilor trade mark applies only to the use submitted to Essilor Ltd for approval and may be subject to conditions specified by Essilor Ltd.
1.9 All use of the Essilor trade marks shall ensure for the benefit of Essilor Ltd.
2.0 Any breach of any conditions specified by Essilor Ltd for the use of its trade marks may render void any such consent.
2.1 These rules also apply to any trademarks associated with Essilor Ltd. Promotional material supplied by Essilor Ltd.

2.2 Promotional material (for example, posters and point-of-sale materials) supplied by Essilor Ltd may not be altered in any way. Users of such promotional materials are authorised to insert details of the sales outlet into the appropriate section in such promotional material but are not otherwise entitled to place any additional statements or trade marks unless agreed in writing by Essilor.
2.3 Promotional material supplied by Essilor Ltd must be used exclusively for the sale of products manufactured or supplied by Essilor Ltd.
2.4 Any promotional material supplied by Essilor Ltd must be kept in good condition and may only be used in the United Kingdom.
2.5 Essilor Ltd shall be entitled to repossess at any time any promotional material supplied by them.
